The boundaries between psychotherapy, psychological counseling, and coaching are often fluid in practice. Many methods and communication techniques can be used effectively in different contexts.Put simply, psychotherapy refers to situations where psychological problems persist over a longer period, cause significant distress, or considerably impair daily life, work, or relationships. Coaching, on the other hand, is usually more goal- and solution-oriented and focuses on specific questions, decisions, or personal and professional objectives.Psychological counseling often lies between these two areas. It is individually tailored to the specific situation, flexibly designed, and can include elements of both therapeutic conversations and coaching. That's why I deliberately use the term "psychological counseling" on my website. In the initial consultation and the first few sessions, we'll work together to determine your needs and what form of support is best suited to your situation. The content and focus of our conversations will always be tailored to your individual needs and goals.
